Spin Me Right Round: Cupsland’s Twirl Does Everything A Stroker Should—And More

A genuinely unique, utterly exciting, must-have toy for penis play enthusiasts

Just as it seems like far too many sextoys are more about packing in often ridiculously over-engineered, “smart” or “interactive” features, comes Cupsland, a company that finally understands it’s never about technological bells and whistles but how much pure, unadulterated fun their products are to play with.

And of all the very, very, very fun toys Cupsland makes, their brand-new Twirl has got to be the most arousing, satisfying, and all-around enjoyable stroker I’ve had the pleasure to use.

What you need, what you want

Don’t be fooled by the Twirl’s deceptively simple design. Cupsland obviously put a tremendous amount of thought into maximizing arousal while minimizing effort.

For starters, the Twirl is a rarity among strokers as it looks as good as it gives.  In fact, I seriously doubt anyone would be able to recognize it with its lid on; most people would likely mistake it for a piece of minimalist sculpture and not a sextoy.

Pop off its top, and, lo and behold, there’s Twirl’s Lifelike NaturSKIN Sleeve, ready, willing, and able for countless hours of penetrative delights, thanks to Cupsland’s thoughtful inclusion of a 10ml packet of their specially formulated water-based lubricant.

Something up its sleeve

But wait, there’s more; surpassing other manual strokers, the Cupsland Twirl isn’t one of those run-of-the-mill, single-tightness toys.

Far from it. Just take hold of its ergonomically designed base and, with a gentle turn, click it one, two, or even three times to make it as arousingly snug—providing more friction for a slower experience—or as comfortably loose and fast as you desire.

I can’t emphasize enough how remarkable that is, especially when strokers costing twice or three times the price don’t provide nearly that level of control. It’s like having three different strokers to play with.

Without a doubt, Twirl’s Lifelike NaturSKIN Sleeve is at the top of my very short list of the most authentically feeling sleeves—so much so that it was challenging at times to tell the difference between it and the real thing.

Size matters

The Cupsland Twirl measures nearly nine and a half inches long, of which a little less than five and a half inches is insertable, and with a diameter of approximately three and a half inches.

Weight-wise, the Twirl is astonishingly light, making it extremely easy to maneuver, particularly if, like me, you have mobility concerns.

What you get

In addition to the Twirl, you get the aforementioned complimentary packet of water-based lube, a handsome and well-put-together box to keep it in, including a handy diagram on how to use and clean it.

Speaking of washing up afterward, once you’ve thoroughly rinsed out your Twirl, you can use the well-designed drying rod it comes with—yet another reason the Twirl is one of my all-time favorite strokers.

End all, be all, a must-have

Cupsland Twirl was such an overwhelmingly positive surprise I have no problem recommending it to anyone with a penis or who enjoys playing with those who have one.

Not only is it beautifully designed and superbly engineered, but dare I say, it is also a great example of form that does not necessarily follow but rather walks hand-in-hand with function. Its affordability makes it an ideal choice, even for people who might merely be curious about what it’s like to play with a pocket pussy.

When all’s said and done, I find myself struggling to find something–anything Cupsland could have done differently, making my enthusiasm for their Twirl all the more impressive.

Trust me, I’m as pleasantly shocked as you will no doubt be when you get your hands on this top-of-the-line stroker.

M.Christian (they/them) loves nothing better than exploring the intersections of sex and technology—and speculating on the future of both. A highly regarded erotica writer they have six novels,12 collections, 100+ short stories, and 25 anthologies as an editor to their name. Their non-fiction regularly appears in many sites, but they're most proud of being a regular contributor to Future of Sex. Of their erotic fiction, Tristan Taormino said that “M.Christian is a literary stylist of the highest caliber: smart, funny, frightening, sexy—there's nothing [they] can't write about… and brilliantly.” Reflecting their unique ability to sympathetically and convincingly write for a range of genders and sexual orientations, their stories have appeared in multiple editions of Best American Erotica, Best Gay Erotica, Best Lesbian Erotica, The Mammoth Books of Erotica, and others. Their collection of gay erotic fiction, Dirty Words, was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. While a majority of their stories have been collected into books like Dirty Words, their fondness for combining sex and science fiction is clearly evident in collections that include Rude Mechanicals, Technorotica, Better Than The Real Thing, Skin Effect Effect, Bachelor Machine, and Hard Drive: The Best Sci-Fi Erotica of M.Christian. As a novelist, M.Christian’s versatility is on full display with Running Dry, The Very Bloody Marys, Brushes, Painted Doll; and the somewhat controversial queer BDSM/horror/thrillers Finger's Breadth, and Me2. M.Christian has worked on the industry’s production side as an Associate Publisher for Renaissance E Books and as a Publisher for Digital Parchment Services. The latter dedicated to celebrating the works of science-fiction legends such as William Rotsler, Jerome Bixby, Jody Scott, Arthur Byron Cover, Ernest Hogan, and James Van Hise. Covering topics like BDSM safety, sexual education, senior sexuality concerns, queer and gender issues, plus reviewing a variety of sex tech products, M.Christian’s non-fiction has appeared on sites like Kinkly, Tickle.Life, Sexpert, Queer Majority, Sex for Every Body, and—of course—their ongoing work for Future of Sex. If there’s anything M.Christian enjoys more than writing, it’s teaching. A featured presenter, sometimes with their friend Ralph Greco Jr, at national sex and BDSM events, they have lectured on kink play (with an emphasis on safety), polyamory, boosting sexual creativity, and erotica writing--for beginners or those wanting to go pro. M.Christian is a cohost on two popular sex-education podcasts: Love’s Outer Limits with Dr. Amy Marsh and Licking Non-Vanilla with Ralph Greco, Jr.
