MysteryVibe overhauled their highly regarded smart wearable vibrator. Was it worth it?
MysteryVibe took four years to redesign its Tenuto 2—and it’s not your average, run-of-the-mill cosmetic update. The wearable vibrator is now as comfortable, powerful, and pleasurable as possible.
“Our goal in creating Tenuto 2 was to enhance the user experience while retaining all the things about Tenuto that users loved,” said Dr. Soum Rakshit, MysteryVibe’s co-founder and CEO.
But the Tenuto 2 wasn’t merely the result of in-house brainstorming.
“To achieve this, we redesigned the whole product from scratch,” Rakshit further explained, “we redesigned the whole product from scratch and incorporated feedback from thousands of users, as well as doctors who had recommended Tenuto to their patients.”

Like its first iteration, the Tenuto 2 is a new take on the classic cock ring sex toy.
Known for enabling penis-equipped persons to achieve and maintain an erection, these toys slightly restrict blood flow to and from the shaft. This restriction also decreases sensitivity, which is why it is popular for people wanting to delay orgasms.
The Tenuto 2’s improvements begin with its material. Where the original was moderately flexible, the new model’s premium silicone is amazingly so while not sacrificing durability. It can take thousands of bends and twists without breaking, which enables it to accommodate many body types and sexual activities.
Under the hood, the Tenuto 2 has four high-speed motors. These motors are well-positioned to increase penile blood flow and provide 360° stimulation to the user’s penis and perineum.
And it’s not just good for those wearing it. The Tenuto 2 is designed so its vibrations can also reach a vagina-owning partner.
To reduce the possibility of scrotal pain, the new model is also slightly larger. Coupled with its considerably improved flexibility, it should be as effective as it is comfortable no matter who uses it.
Technical upgrades for an enhanced user experience
The Tenuto 2 is far quieter than the older model, so there’s no more worrying your roommates will know what you are up to.

Another step up from its predecessor, the Tenuto 2 is now waterproof.
Its tightly sealed USB charging port means it can be soaked or submerged however long its user wants. Its waterproofness allows for more thorough before and after play washings. This is a good thing, as cleanliness is essential when it comes to sex toy safety.
But the marketing may be misleading
While thankfully not a major part of its campaign, I’d like to call out the Tenuto 2’s claim of its effectiveness in dealing with erectile dysfunction concerns.
As noted by the Urology Care Foundation, chronic erectile dysfunction is a relatively rare and often excessively complex condition. Sex toys can help, but only when used in conjunction with alterations to the person’s diet, medications, increased exercise, and therapy.
Additionally, heralding a sex toy as an erectile dysfunction aid sends the message that erections are the end-all, be-all of sex—and any inability to “perform” should be fixed. An attitude that can make an already stressful situation worse.
In my opinion, a healthier approach is to accept erections come and go. It’s better for everyone involved to work with and not against this fact.

Aside from its questionable marketing, the Tenuto 2 is a touch over-designed, which may make it difficult to use or uncomfortable to wear. Especially considering that there are far simpler cock ring-inspired toys are available.
Despite these criticisms, I still feel the Tenuto 2 is finely made and enjoyable—no matter how erect the person using it is.
Pleasurable progress guaranteed
Overall, the Tenuto 2 isn’t so much a refinement as a from-the-ground-up complete and total overhaul.
