Seamless sex tech support and cam site integrations are just the start.

Not satisfied with merely being a smart sex toy manufacturer, Lovense has just made a bold step into the world of adult entertainment app design by strategic partnering with VibeMate.

Available for free on the App Store or Google Play, VibeMate’s an innovative combination of web browser and Bluetooth-enabled sex toy controller.

But it has other neat tricks up its digital sleeve—including how well these functions work with cam sites like Cam 4, Stripchat [NSFW], BongaCams, and Chaturbate [NSFW]

“VibeMate brings a whole new level of interaction to online content and allows you to not only feel what you’re watching, but also to connect with and follow your favorite content in exciting new ways,.” Lovense’s CEO Dan Liu said in a press release.

Alerts, tips, and subscriptions for your favorite cam performers

After installing VibeMate on your phone, you’ll probably want to begin by connecting it to your preferred Lovense toy. As everything they make is Bluetooth compatible, it could be anything from a Max 2 stroker to a Domi Wand.

While many of VibeMate’s features involve this sort of sex tech integration, it’s far from necessary to enjoy the app.

You can use VibeMate as a browser to visit any cam site with the option to have the app list performers who use Lovense products in their shows. Or you can enter a cam person’s specific URL or use your phone’s camera to scan their QR code.

Once you’ve found a suitable show, you can instantly sync your toy to it. So your Gush stroker, Nora vibrator, or whatever toy you have will vibrate simultaneously with what the performer is doing.

VibeMate has a built-in, one-button tipping feature that can also be set to automatically reward a performer.

Full-featured browser with an adult twist

You’ll probably be surprised at how little VibeMate differs from Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

Functionality like multiple browser tabs, bookmarking and categories, and the ability to sync your VibeMate preferences to other devices are all here. All with a distinctly adult content twist.

I wish it had an option to password lock the app to keep people from sneaking a peak at what turns you on. It’s a minor quibble though, especially as other browsers also don’t support this.

Top-notch adult entertainment app with only minor issues

I spent a considerable amount of time putting VibeMate through its paces.

Though I had some extremely minor issues with it, I think it’s a well-engineered, expertly designed piece of software. Absolutely as praise worthy as the Lovense Remote app.

More than anything, I’m impressed by how effortless VibeMate makes finding, connecting, and subscribing to sex tech-using adult performers. While not my personal sexual preference, I imagine cam site fans will be overjoyed to discover it.

Best of all, VibeMate isn’t set in stone, admitting it’s a work in progress, with more features and capabilities on the way.

Whether or not cam sites are your thing, I recommend giving Vibemate a try

You may very well become a cam site fan after seeing how fun and frustration-free this new app makes watching—and interacting—with them.

M.Christian (they/them) loves nothing better than exploring the intersections of sex and technology—and speculating on the future of both. A highly regarded erotica writer they have six novels,12 collections, 100+ short stories, and 25 anthologies as an editor to their name. Their non-fiction regularly appears in many sites, but they're most proud of being a regular contributor to Future of Sex. Of their erotic fiction, Tristan Taormino said that “M.Christian is a literary stylist of the highest caliber: smart, funny, frightening, sexy—there's nothing [they] can't write about… and brilliantly.” Reflecting their unique ability to sympathetically and convincingly write for a range of genders and sexual orientations, their stories have appeared in multiple editions of Best American Erotica, Best Gay Erotica, Best Lesbian Erotica, The Mammoth Books of Erotica, and others. Their collection of gay erotic fiction, Dirty Words, was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. While a majority of their stories have been collected into books like Dirty Words, their fondness for combining sex and science fiction is clearly evident in collections that include Rude Mechanicals, Technorotica, Better Than The Real Thing, Skin Effect Effect, Bachelor Machine, and Hard Drive: The Best Sci-Fi Erotica of M.Christian. As a novelist, M.Christian’s versatility is on full display with Running Dry, The Very Bloody Marys, Brushes, Painted Doll; and the somewhat controversial queer BDSM/horror/thrillers Finger's Breadth, and Me2. M.Christian has worked on the industry’s production side as an Associate Publisher for Renaissance E Books and as a Publisher for Digital Parchment Services. The latter dedicated to celebrating the works of science-fiction legends such as William Rotsler, Jerome Bixby, Jody Scott, Arthur Byron Cover, Ernest Hogan, and James Van Hise. Covering topics like BDSM safety, sexual education, senior sexuality concerns, queer and gender issues, plus reviewing a variety of sex tech products, M.Christian’s non-fiction has appeared on sites like Kinkly, Tickle.Life, Sexpert, Queer Majority, Sex for Every Body, and—of course—their ongoing work for Future of Sex. If there’s anything M.Christian enjoys more than writing, it’s teaching. A featured presenter, sometimes with their friend Ralph Greco Jr, at national sex and BDSM events, they have lectured on kink play (with an emphasis on safety), polyamory, boosting sexual creativity, and erotica writing--for beginners or those wanting to go pro. M.Christian is a cohost on two popular sex-education podcasts: Love’s Outer Limits with Dr. Amy Marsh and Licking Non-Vanilla with Ralph Greco, Jr.
